Welcome to the Victorian Abalone Divers Association Inc, (VADA) website.

This site is an attempt to bring together comprehensive information about the abalone fishery, and about the complex nature of fishery management predicated for the long-term sustainable use of the resource, and about our Association (VADA) - it's aims, objectives and achievements

You can follow the history of the Commercial Abalone Fishery in Victoria and you may be interested in the Fisheries Co-Management arrangements through which stakeholders and Government managers develop agreed programs for ensuring sustainable use of our fish resources.

You will find some background information about the Victorian Abalone Fishery as well as information about the abalone animal itself, wild abalone stocks in Australia and the Commercial abalone Fishery.
